For the first week, I have been researching the style of high fashion magazines. I've been looking at their layout, font, the type of pictures used, the amount of font, and colours used. This is a sample of what I've found.

After doing research into the types of fonts used in high fashion magazines, I went looking for fonts to use for ours. These are the fonts that I came up with. 

Once we all had our own fonts, we came together and picked out the ones that we wanted for our magazine. We also put this into InDesign and played with a potential layout.

After locking down our fonts, we got on to finding our articles and content. I found both of my articles in the September 2014 issue of Vogue Australia. I also found a digital copy.

We put together our own article layouts to suit our articles.

Together we brainstormed ideas for our magazine title. We came up with Modish.

I split the Vogue pdf so that I just had the articles I was going to use.

I ran into trouble when I tried to use an online pdf to text converter. I tried lots of different sites, but they just wouldn't convert them properly. 

I finally found one that worked. But when I went to put the text in the indesign file, I realised it had only converted the first couple paragraphs from each article.

I ended up having to type out the rest of the articles.

We got quotes for printing and binding. We ended up going with this one for just the inside pages printing.
