A flute piece by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia was taken as inspiration. Artworks were developed and later these were translated to fabric. Surfaces were made based on the principles of the music.
An artwork created listening to the music piece
The different properties of fabrics, mainly shrinkage were explored by using stitching techniques.

The raag chosen was a ‘Hansdhwani Dhrut Teen taal” which is played in the evening at the time of sunset.  Therefore the inspiration for the colour was derived from the sunset.
Stitching technique used to interpret the music piece

In woven samples polyster and cotton was used as they have different properties of dyeing and shrinkage.
