For a self-promotional calendar I decided to built up on a postcard project I designed in fall 2015. 

 

The goal of this previous project was to create a set of postcards that promote the pantone matching system but also reflect my personality. For the postcards I started to research for visual material that reflect characteristics of me as a person. For the second and third step I defined color themes consisting of three different pantone colors and applied them to my image library. I created duotone images for each image and selected the strongest to be integrated in my final designs. For the final step I developed names for each color theme that describe certain characteristics of myself. 

 

For my calendar I followed the same concept and process. I researched for images that reflect my personality but also correspond with the spirit of each month. I altered the design of the front slightly compared to the intial design because I selected imagery that contained much more detail and had to be set apart from typographic elements more clearly. Because of limited upload capacities I display only some of the backsides of the calendar.
