In 2010 a Stag famed for being the largest wild animal in Britain was shot and killed, creating outrage and making headline news. This textile collection was developed with a nod to the long, cultural significance and symbolism, Stags have enjoyed amongst both animal lovers and hunters alike; and which in the case of the Emperor of Exmoor, culminated in national press attention, Sherlock inspired crime theories, and legend status when he passed away.
