Eve D'Kitty in The Deeds of the No-Good Gang

This project is a concept for a children's adventure game similar to that of games published by Humongous Entertainment. The ultimate goal of this concept is to create something that captures nostalgic childish fun.

The game follows a black (purple) cat named Sheriff Eve D'Kitty, and her deputy, Rosebud, as they pursue a group of outlaws called "The No-Good Gang".

The style is a departure from my usual style, as it is much more cartoonish. In that vein, for these character sheets showing off the two main characters, I have sample expressions that play with exaggeration with some squashing, stretching, and duplicative smears.
Below are some line drawings of some backgrounds: one being the interior of a saloon and the other being a town square. I decided to make the aspect ratio of these 4:3 to emulate the aspect ratio of the Humongous Entertainment games I grew up with.
These are a few renders that I did to show off what some of the screens may look like. The characters are colored more flatly while the backgrounds have more of a watercolor look.

This first screen is a snapshot of a group of dog friends playing Go Fish. Each dog is a caricature of a western actor.

From left to right: The Duke (John Wayne), Sam Colliet (Sam Elliot), and Clint Eastwoof (Clint Eastwood).
This render is set a distance from town, showing it in the background. A puzzle I came up with for the game is that this vulture is very thirsty. The solution is to buy a drink from the saloon.

My thought is that, much like Humongous Entertainment games, the exact solution would be different with each game. In some games, he may ask for Root Beer, in another he may ask for Grape Soda.
