This project aimed to find a way to encourage families with young children to create their little gardens where they can grow their fresh produce whilst bonding with each other.

In today’s world, many people have stopped growing their food and depend on imported produce. Whilst we’re reaching for a more sustainable world, our planet would benefit from people growing their food and creating less demand for unethically sourced food.

So, my challenge was to find a way to make gardening exciting and less daunting to get into.

Through research and development, I came up with an idea for a product that would guide families through gardening with an annual gardening kit whilst taking them through the food journey. This guide will let the users know what to do each month, what to sow and what to do once the produce is ready to harvest. Furthermore, this journey of gardening would allow adults and their children to reconnect with nature whilst growing stronger family relationships.
To expand on the nature and sustainability themes, for this project I decided to create my paper from scraps. These would be used for seed and recipe cards. The seed cards would include the actual seeds where possible.
