Project background: Our client is a successful businesswoman who is looking for an white and airy space that fully utilizes with reflective materials.
Project highlight: Use of aluminum (for areas such as kitchen island, tatami, TV console) for durability, fire resistance, VOC free, minimal maintenance and to further enhance the modern aesthetic.
Project challenge: Remote discussion and updates with client throughout the construction period to meet deadline.

Beginning of Design Stage
The general mood evoked a minimalist, clean and modern interior design to create a space that feels spaciousness and airiness.
The minimalist design features clean lines to a sense of calm and clarity while making the space appear larger and brighter. The clean lines and neutral color scheme help to create a serene atmosphere that encourages a feeling of calmness and balance.
Lower Floor Plan
The living area uses a monochromatic color scheme dominated by white, which helps in creating a bright and airy space. The built-in media unit is sleek and functional, with a low-profile design that aligns with the room's minimalist theme. It serves as a housing for the television and other electronic devices, keeping the space uncluttered.
The ceiling features a modern design with subtle architectural details like recessed areas where the LED strips are placed, contributing to a structured yet elegant look. The glossy, light-colored floor tiles are consistent with the room's modern aesthetic. Their reflective surface not only enhances the room's brightness but also contributes to a sense of spaciousness.
The kitchen is streamlined with flat-panel cabinetry, which complements the uncluttered style of the space. The island’s design is notably minimalist, with a cantilevered countertop that creates a floating effect. The choice of reflective surface for the island base is a unique touch that adds a sense of depth and luxury, while still adhering to the minimalist theme.
The use of recessed and cove lighting keeps the space feeling open and airy without the clutter of hanging fixtures. The design allows for a well-lit room without compromising on the clean lines and open feeling of the space.
The dining area features a neutral color scheme which creates a contemporary and sophisticated atmosphere, making the space looks visually larger and open. The area is well-lit with a combination of recessed ceiling lights and indirect lighting from the LED strip. This lighting strategy enhances the ambience and make the dining area feel inviting.
The large mirror on the wall not only serves to visually expand the space but also reflects light, contributing to the brightness of the area. The glossy surfaces of the dining table also reflects light, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and luxurious feel. The chairs are upholstered in a light fabric with dark legs, providing a nice contrast and continuity with the dining area.
Upper Floor Plan
The staircase area presents with a unique architectural design. The high ceiling and the angular lines created by the stairs and the railings give the space a dynamic quality. The use of mirrors on the adjacent wall not only amplifies the natural light but also adds depth, making the area feel larger and more inviting.
The use of neutral with whites and light beige tones further emphasizes the brightness and spaciousness. The stairway itself, with its marble steps and simple metal handrail, contributes to the minimalist aesthetic that seems consistent throughout the space.
The built-in cabinetry is well-integrated into the architecture of the room, maintaining clean lines and a seamless look. The white finish of the cabinets contributes to the clean and uncluttered feel, with flat fronts and recessed handles that keep the design sleek and functional.
The glass partition gives the impression of a separate area while maintaining visual continuity. The translucency of the glass ensures that the space doesn't feel closed off while still providing a level of privacy.
The tatami style lower section of the wardrobe features drawers, which serve for storing smaller items and maintaining organization. This dual functionality ensures that all types of clothing and accessories have their designated space.
A glass-fronted display cabinet adds a personal touch to the hallway. It offers a space to showcase decorative items while keeping the space feeling open and light. The white walls and the discreet doors blend seamlessly, which keeps the focus on the warmth of the wood and the items within the display. This creates a balance between functionality, modern design, and personal touches.
The LED strip lighting continues along the length of the ceiling, amplifying the sense of direction and flow within the space. This lighting choice is not only functional but also serves as a design feature, adding depth and a futuristic edge.
The bathroom maintains the clean, minimalist approach consistent with the rest of the home. The color scheme is neutral, with the tiles offering a subtle texture that adds depth without overwhelming the space.
The vanity is streamlined and modern with a vessel sink that adds a contemporary touch whereas the mirror above the vanity doubles the visual space and enhances the light, making the bathroom appear larger. The lighting in the bathroom provides ample illumination without compromising on the minimalist feel, maintaining the clean lines seen throughout the rest of the home.
