Picture book about a water trip along the Vuoksa River
This is a photo of a book from my exhibition, and then there will be some pages.
This is a silent book with watercolor illustrations on the theme of a river trip, based on personal experience.This book will appeal to anyone who likes to travel by kayak.
First, I illustrated packing and preparing for the trip. The illustrations convey a feeling of summer, warmth and adventure in nature.
All illustrations are made in watercolors and colored pencils and slightly processed in Photoshop. I use high quality Japanese watercolors and textured paper.
This is a very nostalgic and personal project for me. I am glad that I was able to convey my impressions of the hikes and preserve my memories through my own means. I gave this book to friends with whom we went through this experience together.
This was my first experience of creating a picture book without text. I published it in samizdat and it took part in 2 exhibitions and is in the Mayakovsky library in St. Petersburg.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me in this project. I dedicate it to my teacher and my friends from school.
