TYPICAL ME / Designer Toys
BA thesis, completed and presented in April 2014 at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens,
Faculty of Graphic Design and at the Cube Athens.
Nobody is perfect. Each and everyone of us has developed several bad habits.
This project comes to present a different aspect of our little flaws.
This set of designer toys, consists of five characters - figures. Each toy features a common " bad habit "
in a funny way. The characters are: hearty eater, sleepyhead, alcohol bum, smoking freak, nerd.
Create your own totem
These five toys have the special feature, that they can be connected in any vertical order,
creating a unique totem. The skeletons of the toys are different from each other, the only common
characteristic is their height (10cm), so there is a visual interest in the creation of the totem.
How to join the totem:
Each figure has two holes on top and bottom side, of the same height and diameter, which are lying diametrically opposite to a centric vertical axis. So by using a pair of pegs it is possible to connect two toys and so on.
