The following layouts are just a few examples of the hundreds of layouts I have created and modified using a variety of PrePress techniques and numerous digital resources in order to render a Printable version of the artists intent. My Pre-Press work as a production/layout artist, in this portfolio, also displays my skills as a trapping and color correction artist.
Pre Press layout using Adobe Indesign, Artpro and Nexus RIP. Images all needed work to match colors across panels. Trapping all done manually. No auto trapping used.
This CD book cover front displays a number of interesting trappings techniques. This item required in addition to 4/C process a double strike of black as well as a spot gold. The item needed spread backs on the blacks as well as the KO oblects and a spread on the gold. Also needed to re strip the layout to its proper template.
A number of interesting layout problems with this project - 4th panel needs to line up properly with first panel - Color needs to match across multiple images - 4/C images need to trap to line art.

I have prepared hundreds CD and DVD labels for hundreds of artists. In this case the label was 3 spot colors - all required some special handling in order to produce properly.
4 Color Blacks always require special treatment in order to apply proper Trapping (shrinks and spreads).
A Double LP - 4/C process, White and Foil Stamping. Touchy trapping involved with this layout.
Folding Carton Layout with miters
CD Ocard with metallic PMS877 4/C blacks KO type Process images - Intricate trapping involved with this type of layout.
Same situation with this CD Inlay
Tricky to make all blacks match on this one - RGB images supplied by Customer and conversion to CMYK needed special attention.
Sample Template built in quark showing all the bleeds trims and type safeties. I have excellent mechanical layout skills.
