Action To Healing Branding Guide

MISSION
ATH is a Chicago based organization that seeks to help people reduce the harm they inflict on others through the recognition of their implicit biases, traumas, and cultural differences in identities and backgrounds. Through trauma—informed care and cultural humility approaches, ACTION to Healing, LLC aims to increase people’s capacity to have compassion for themselves, show humility, empathize with others, and treat everyone with respect and kindness regardless of their differences.
Mercedes is a professor at California State University Northridge Master of Social Work School where she develops upcoming social workers. She received her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from DePaul University Theatre School in Chicago.
Mercedes customizes her services to include in-person or virtual offerings that “meet clients where they are” in every aspect.

She specializes in ADEI, Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), and Cultural Humility. Using these as approaches that usher employees into an awareness of their implicit bias, power, privilege, and racialized trauma; helping them reduce the harm they may inflict on others because of cultural differences.

Whether it be through trainings, facilitation, or coaching, Mercedes is passionate about her calling and dedicates her heart to investing in individuals, teams, and leadership’s growth & development so they can be their best and authentic selves as they work with others.
