Noired: Exploring a fusion of image modeling and text prompts
Starting in Photoshop, I blended a vibrant evening street scene as the backdrop to bring a naturally lit BMW M4 parked in the driveway to life. I used presets in Adobe Lightroom before compositing the two images. While this isn't an advert for BMW, it could be 🐒. Shot with a Fujifilm X Pro 1 (35mm) with autofocus. Venturing into the realm of AI and photography, I utilised an image generating AI tool to analyze my monochromatic + red pop BMW car image, resulting in a specialised filter. This filter, like a preset, was then applied systematically to text-to-image prompts, producing a blend of photorealistic and illustrative styles. The project highlights the fascinating synergy between AI technology and traditional photography, making each creation an intriguing mix of science and artistry.
Exploring the realms of artistry, I delved into the names and titles of renowned artists and their iconic works. By blending image generation techniques with my M4 (image modeling) preset, I curated a collection of imagery that seamlessly merges elements of noir with vibrant bursts of color. This unique style, which I affectionately refer to as 'NoiRed,' captures the essence of both darkness and vibrancy, offering a captivating visual experience.
In addition to experimenting with artists and their works, I applied the same preset and text prompts of 'iconic pop figures' and 'celebrities'. This allowed me to explore how the fusion of image modeling could transform familiar faces into intriguing and captivating compositions. By applying the 'NoiRed' style to these pop icons, I aimed to challenge perceptions and evoke thought-provoking narratives within the imagery.
