Artist Statement

My three collages pieces represent a conceptual framework that explores the multifaceted nature of Black Holes which draw parallels to human existence. As each aspect of black holes, whether it be an aspect of the unknown, the cost of a collapse, and the potential of the supermassive black hole may produce, this may serve as a lens through which viewers can contemplate life's complexities.
Although these colossal cosmic regions of spacetime symbolize attraction and mystery, in life may be 'supermassive' moments that be both alluding and/or intimidating. Black holes may have the opportunity to exist for life to reach the point of no return and experience the unknown mirror. As we may not predict for what the future holds, life will present unforeseen opportunities to embrace growth.
Moments in life may lead to moments of introspection which may shift within our hearts and souls. Your concept emphasizes the power of thought and mindset and that's how we can deal with the collapse of black holes and whether they can propel us towards renewal.
After gathering all of my pictures, I can easily produce a well-mannered picture of how I feel according to either supermassive, unknown, and gravitational collapse black holes. I felt intuitive when brainstorming the different phases, the occurred when combining these different elements. I easily felt a sense of flow and inspiration as I seek the combination of these different thoughts and the meaning behind it.
I had trouble merging the images seamlessly within Photoshop. The composition was a bit tricky; however, this was just the sketching part, so this is not supposed to be troubling.
When considering the interplay between light and darkness, I began to connect with the swirling patterns of the unknown black holes where there is an unknown road that creates a sense of questions for the next path for the audience. I will pay attention towards the balance of the black hole and other images when considering the subtle details and textures.
