Art Thief
Art Thief is a color theory game made from the Processing software. I created this game due to my enjoyment of similar color theory games and my general hobby of art. Some games that I was inspired by were Trycolors and the Color Game.
The start screen is the first thing visible. AI was used to generate the image and Canva was used to add the text. The program is looking for the space bar to be pressed in order to move from state 0 to state 1.
State 1 is level 1 which requires the player to get a similarity under 80 within 30 seconds. The similarity is determined from the Pythagorean theorem and a code that prints the equation as a score. Once the buttons are pressed, more of that color will be added to the forgery painting and the similarity will be assessed again. Once the similarity is under 80 the state will switch to state 2.
State 2 is an in between screen that requires the player to press 'r' to move to state 3.
State 3 is level 2 where the player is required to get a similarity of less than 50 in 20 seconds or less in order to move to state 4.
State 4 is another in between screen just as state 2, but this one requires 's' to be pressed to move to state 5.
State 5 is the third and final level where the player is required to get a similarity of 20 or less in 20 seconds. Once the goal is reached, the player will win.
The winning state appears if the player accomplishes all three levels in the appropriate time and thus they win the game.
The lose screen appears at any point that the player fails, this is due to the time running out without the similarity being low enough causing the player to lose the game.
