Covers for a book series of Greek classics

School project in which I had to design 3 covers of a book series. Having studied classical literature during high school, I chose to dedicate the series to Greek classics.
The cover visual is inspired by the style of ancient Greek pottery painting. The illustrations, which I personally curated, are representative of the plot of each individual book. In Oedipus Rex, in fact, the protagonist eventually blinds himself.
The bloody female hands represent the repentance of Medea, who killed her own children only to take revenge for her husband's betrayal.
In this play by Aristophanes, Lysitrata leads a sex strike by the women of the city to convince the men to stop the Peloponnesian War.
