The artworks initial response is to a common quote in Indian households, of if you’ll wear the sandals or shoes. The artwork can interpreted through the lens of choices we make and what consequences or perceptions it may lead to- our perceptions of the world and the world’s perceptions of us. Reminding us of the choices we make between necessity and comfort, between compliance and self acceptance.
