Lead (2024)

Lead is a series of products that assist in the overall process of physical reading activities.

It is involved in the entire reading process (beginning - rising action - climax - resolution),

providing guidelines at each stage, and further helps users form consistent reading habits.

Lead는 물리적 독서 활동의 전반적 프로세스를 보조하는 디바이스 시리즈입니다.
독서의 전 과정(기 - 승 - 전 - 결)에 관여하며 각각의 단계에서 가이드라인을 제시하고,

나아가 사용자의 전체적인 독서 습관 형성을 돕습니다.

Lead is simplification of "Let's read" and is also the first word of the slogan "lead back to the era of reading". We used dark tones of black and clam green in the product so that users can fully focus on reading.

Lead는 "Let's read"의 줄임말이자 슬로건 'Lead back to the era of reading(독서의 시대로 돌아가다)'의 첫 단어이기도 합니다.

사용자가 온전히 독서에 집중할 수 있도록 제품에 어두운 톤의 검정과 차분한 초록색을 사용하였습니다.

Lead consists of three products, Bookeeper, Candle, and Quill, inspired by reading supplies and interactions of the analog era.

Lead는 아날로그 시대의 독서용품과 인터랙션에서 모티브를 얻은 Bookeeper, Candle, Quill 세 가지 제품으로 이루어져 있습니다.

Before starting reading, users can switch Candle from the default notification mode that works with bookeeper to timer mode. Users can adjust their reading speed by comparing the amount of reading compared to the time set with the timer function.

본격적인 독서를 시작하기에 앞서, 사용자는 Candle을 Bookeeper와 연동되는 기본 알림 모드에서 타이머 모드로 전환할 수 있습니다. 사용자는 타이머 기능으로 설정한 시간 대비 독서량을 비교하며 자신의 독서 속도를 조절해나갈 수 있게 됩니다.

Quill can be used in two modes: transcription mode and scan mode. You can freely write down and scan your favorite phrases while reading, or reflect on your insights, and take a break from reading with a bookmark or Quill attached to the back of Quill.

Quill은 사용 시 필사 모드, 스캔모드 2가지로 변환이 가능합니다. 책을 읽다가 마음에 드는 문구가 보이거나, 사색에 잠겨 얻은 인사이트들을 자유롭게 적고 스캔할 수 있으며, Quill 뒤에 부착된 책갈피 혹은 Quill을 책갈피 삼아 휴식할 수 있습니다.
