Overview of Context
My project delves into the recent history of India, focusing on objects from the late 20th century that shaped its cultural landscape during a pivotal shift towards capitalism. Through exploring items like radios, televisions, and typewriters, we aim to uncover the stories and memories of previous generations, preserving them in a digital format for future audiences. By investigating our own family history and tracing the journey of a typewriter across generations and continents, we seek to understand our heritage and the experiences of our ancestors.

01. Ideation
Multiple rounds of interviews were taken over calls (voice and video) as primary research. Recording the interviews was a useful way to ensure that all details were captured, along with notes on the side. These interviews had a conversational tone as I aimed to create a mental map of the objects and stories I would be working with.
