A vector design project
The Brief
The client wanted illustrations for their existing website, that would fit the already existing brand. The website is about the services that they offer in movement coaching, dance lessons and theoretical knowledge in the field.
I received a color palette and a description to what the illustrations should refer to, with different levels of specificity, as well as contextual information: how & where will the illustrations going to be used.
My preparation process
1. The HOW:
I first looked at the existing website: this helped me define the style of the illustrations and gave me contextual data. After a quick website analysis, I decided to go with a style of solid colors - limited to the color palette, without strokes and a maximum of 5 variations in the color saturation.
2. The WHAT:
I summarized the brief that I was given in order to know exactly what I should illustrate. I defined each illustration on the same level of specificity.
3. The WHEN:
I outlined my working hours to try and keep a consistent pace to fit in an estimated time frame.
My design process
Here is the first final illustration:
Here are the other two illustrations:
And here you can see how they are used on the website:
I invite you to visit the website to find out more about the client and my work, too!
