Lost in time....
Just when you think you have seen it all and know everything there is to know about your home city, A true relic unexpectedly presents itself. There is nothing more exciting then a unexpected massive gem hidden amongst the chaos that is New York City. Many of you will have ventured to the old churches that fill the city and old pubs that started it all. What you won't expect to find is a massive theatre that seats 3400 people. The third biggest venue in NYC. Then to find that it is just as it was in the 1930's; adorned with gilded promises of royalty and luxury poised to entertain New York's elite. You find yourself humbled by the energy of all that must have taken place at such a grand venue. Then you become overwhelmed by it and the art and intricacy of each corner starts to inspire the mind to travel to a place long before cell phones, tvs, and the internet. A place more familiar to the human condition. A place where art, love, emotion, and grandeur resonated for a brief moment in one's life and you clung to it not just hours, days, or months but a lifetime. For moments like this were far and few between and stood out like a massive bookmark in the epic journey that is life. I looked to capture those moments that must have reverberated through these walls and echoed a force of artistry so strong that it still exists today amidst all our technology. I hope the imagery below will take you to a time... A much simpler time where the line between fantasy and reality were non existent in that night at the theater.
