I completed this project as part of my final year portfolio. I began by choosing a research topic; coral. I fully researched my topic then developed my design ideas based on this research. Once my research was complete I chose an appropriate designer to design a 24 outfit collection for. I incorporated aspects from various areas of my research such as colour, texture, and fluidity.

Reads: Ornate Elegance was inspired by the softer side of coral. It looks deeply into what is behind the bright bold colours that we most commonly associate with coral. Beneath the splendour of brightness is a pure white skeleton; using this idea I brought together muted versions of otherwise bright colours of coral to form the colour palette for an elegant Bridal/Eveningwear collection for Anita Massarella. Fabrics were inspired by the way softer corals move in the ocean, as if floating through the air.
