ILL 301.6 Information Visualisation
This is bananas!
Information visualisation allows for the simple representation of complex concepts to make it more accessible to audiences. This project required a digital vertical narrative that visually summarised research of themes concerning the future of wellbeing, work and the planet—the visualisation aimed to present large amounts of information in a more engaging, understandable and memorable way.

Design Strategy
This is bananas! Who would’ve thought the world’s favourite fruit was in danger? This infographic aims to inform viewers about the many unknown facts about the banana. The tone is comical and light while still relaying the information in a clear and concise manner.
The colour palette is inspired by the tropics wherein most bananas are grown. The colours remain true to the subject with the addition of a bright cobalt blue to emphasise information within the infographic. The illustration style is simple and clear so as not to distract from the information this is done by using simple vector illustration with texture overlays.

These smaller illustrations throughout the infographic create a visual break from the vector-heavy illustrations. The scratchy hand-drawn style adds more visual interest and texture to the infographic.
