For my project, I chose to do my Dad for the personality portrait . My original idea was to do of his work since he is a contractor. I want to display his love work and have the contraction site and all the tools and men working and showing his role. But recently his health declined because of his heart. He recently had a procedure down and has to take things very slow for a while and those who have Mexican dads or just immigrant parents in general, they do not know how to relax and take it easy, especially for him since he's the boss and owner of his own company. 

So I thought it be nicer to capture a different light I don't see him much in. In this set up I used a small lego figurine I made my dad a while ago when we went to lego land and used it to portray him. I have my bird cage and use the bird cage with our new member Jelly which is the blue silly bird you see. My dad has been recently watching him more since he's been home, and I wanted to capture that relationship. My dad says he hates him, but in reality he loves him more than me. And even has a little spot for him to watch him eat apple.

So in this little story, there are 4 photos that show my dad looking into the cage looking for Jelly and then when he sees him he just watches as he eats admiring this little blue fellow. 

The set up seems pretty basic, but due to this new side of my dad I wanted to capture the basic and simplicity of how life is right now for him.
