Last studies for Apes beating in the woods- 3 more left to go- pigeonholers, decorative chimps and the pastor monkey to finish.  info at the bottom
This one above is my fave bit of the landscape.
Why do Apes beat their chests ( in the woods) in anticipation and arrival of annual summer rains…?

Not the question you might ask yourself… but it may have been a question that the brain asked itself and as a result permanently changed its future development.
….

A stir in the memory mixes with the need to understand an effect the brain can`t determine a cause for...The Apes beating away to the summer rains could have been the original creative aberration of the brain.

Since this point, many other unexplainable causes are subject to the same means of creative tampering free of the requirement of justification.  Faith being a convenient element coupled with spirituality, cooked up by the brain to enable its concurrent development to be unquestionable and justifiable (without reason).

The fabrication of spirituality was the brain’s reaction and means to solve the unexplainable and  ensure it’s own smooth running.  Religion operates through similar means and acts as a more sophisticated device to pacify fear in reaction to the more likely reality that there is no real causality or reason to exist.

However, without this aberration, future rationality and questioning of the purpose behind the brain`s creative deviation could not be considered…. Therefore the Apes shouldn’t worry about things too much and concentrate on enjoying hedonistic pursuits instead of being distracted by recurring annual meteorological processes.

This information may prove useful to any confused Apes who may find themselves amidst communal rain anticipation.
