My all-time favorite Sci Fi futuristic (almost to that year now) movie is Blade Runner. I am not quite finished (update, now I am finished) but I used several techniques in the book chapter 4, and previous. I  did not use all of the characters in the original poster, A. I do not like them, B. I do not have time. Making the snake girl wook me so long, I had to make scales and erase a bikini LOL. Oh and make the snake. I have about 35 layers, and many brushes and textures created this time. I used artistic filters on the smaller characters for  different looks, but kept the main character fairly realistic- and his love interest lighter to stand out. I got a couple of cool fonts and used them for the symbols and title. The rain is a brush that I duplicated and brightened to get the rain drops. Most of the characters are two layers with hard light or luminosity modes. I got a free template for the credit font/layout and made the rating in Illustrator.
I changed the final copy above per some peer suggestions, and the almost final is below...
This is what I originally planned but could not pull off, I am not sure what is missing, but something is. I did not get the title to do what I wanted, so I settled on this. Maybe I can complete it later? It is fun doing the HDR toning, and aliens seem to like it.
>>>Okay a few tweaks and I like it better than before, I fixed my mistakes and added some detail.  I made the alien mouth girl by using a stock image, then chopping up a couple of alien toy photos, then inserting into the girl's mouth. Then HDR toning took over my world and I made it glow. The door viewer was just a blending mode and some glow spots, color change to green and done. The credits are a free template.
