Flux in City
The FLUX IN CITY is an ongoing project consisting of various manifestations. As an outpost of degree show, the artist Fang Shan-Han employs digital prints and watercolour drawings to examine notions of nomadic, non-permanent urban images - the phenomena of transient changing cityscapes in this exhibition. The works are inspired by Baudelaire's "The Flâneur" and Umberto Boccioni’s The City Rises, representing the constantly changing urban spectacle. Thus, the work looks at the changing imaginary flow a reflective theme in painting, not from the point of material character, but seeks to recontextualize the perception of transient fleeting cityscape to a personal artistic expression.
