Epiphyllum. We also name this flower as the fairy under the moonlight as it only bloom during night time. its Since its blooming period only last couple hours, we also has the term '昙花一现' - 'the flash moment of the blooming epiphyllum' to describe someone or something that is written in water.
This is an epiphyllum blooming in my mom’s garden. It gave a show quietly in the heavy rain.
This throwback the moment when my mom shared with me her first blooming epiphyllum a decade ago. She was excited but also sad that I am not able to experience it with her as I was living in Finland back then. To acknowledge that, I made a surface pattern for her.
