Concept: Self-Discovery
This artwork depicts the long journey of self discovery, a long journey of following our own heart . Self-discovery is like collecting pieces of a huge puzzle or looking for the key to our own door which can be overwhelming, confusing and even scary. I wanted to show how confusing this journey is by using optical illusion, melting stairs as well as vibrant colors. On the top left corner you can see a figure from a weird unusual angle that shows how this journey make us see ourselves from new, weird and maybe uncomforting angles and perspectives.

Concept: People’s Perception
This artwork depicts how people just see the outer layer of us. They only see how we make it seem okay although it might be uncomforting. I showed this by depicting a figure in a very uncomfortable weird pose but she is making it seem fine and maybe even comforting. The figure’s hair is seen floating in the air to give the sense of hallucintation. Her hair has a repeated pattern making a glitch effect. I used the eyes to mean people’s perception in a literal way. The pupils in the eyes are melting to show how their perception is not clear which means that what they is based on their own assumptions and superfitial point of view. In the background I used a pattern of random letters from the alphabet and some of these letters are distorted which created an illusion of melting and unclarity.
