Big John Beats Ya'Hunga Forever
The Big John™ is well-known for being a big burger that beats even the biggest hunger. Inspired by this, Chicken Licken decided to tell the tale of just how legendary the Big John™ burger is by creating an ad that shows the world how far someone would go to get their hands on one. Our idea was to create a humorous parody, inspired by the Black Panther franchise, which accentuated the legend of the Big John™ and proved that even in a technologically advanced utopia, the one thing that they are missing is our burger.
Our ad launched in cinemas across South Africa on Friday, 11. 11. 2022 – the same day as the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever film. In fact, the ad played in cinemas, as a prelude to the official film. The ad was also launched on TV and social media on the same day. Since then, it has been viewed more than 4,000,000 times and even Marvel gave it a thumbs up. All in all, we successfully expanded the legend of Big John™ and got more people to try the burger for themselves.
