Final Sourcing Strategy - Boleyn

Key Takeaway: This group project was established in my global sourcing and supply chain class during the spring quarter of 2023. Our group was asked to create a new product line for a new proposed brand. We created an intimate apparel brand called Boleyn, inspired by Anne Boleyn herself. We had to establish country rankings, supplier rankings, a line plan, costing summary, and a tech pack product assortment and more for mock production of our items. This project is the final successor for it's precursor/basis project I did, which is my new product/new company project for the same class.

Objective: Students will explore trade rules and regulations in the global marketplace, construct a comprehensive import/export plan, and explore the forces and current issues that affect global sourcing. Students will examine international business practices and ethics. Students will develop a global sourcing strategy. Students will evaluate pros and cons of global sourcing. Students will assess and evaluate global sourcing opportunities through in-depth research and analysis.

Scope: Compare and contrast the risks and benefits of a wide variety of global opportunities and enable students to understand the importance of international business and cultural relationships in today’s fashion apparel and textile industry. Synthesized research into a well-planned product sourcing guide.

Additional Notes: This was a group project. The work that I was responsible for creating included the following:

The Sourcing Guidelines, Competitive Companies, Code of Conduct, Product Assortment Line Flats, Individual Line Flats, Country Rankings, China Analysis, Final Country Review, Supplier Rankings, China Supplier Analysis, Final Supplier Review, and Final Countries & Suppliers.
