I'm grateful to New Orleans' Robert Alford of Alford Advertising for hiring me to create a poster/book cover for Team Gleason, the non-profit foundation changing the lives of folks with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control.

Steve Gleason's life story from celebrity NFL player to wheelchair-bound invalid, didn't stop with the tragedy of this disease. Instead, a truly inspirational awareness campaign came into being, not only to take care of his family, but a way to improve life for people with ALS. The development of new wheelchair technology and making it available to everyone was an amazing goal in itself. And it has been an outstanding success raising more than $18 million to date and helping more than 20,000 people and their families living with ALS.
