Poster & Social Media Project
For this project, I was tasked with creating a poster and three coordinating social media posts for an event of my choice. I decided to promote a women’s ministry event where women are able to gather for fellowship and bouquet building. The purpose of this project was to solidify the design principles of contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity. I edited my primary font in order to achieve the cursive effect that runs off of the page.
My original concept for this design contained primarily black text, but as I continued to ideate, I realized that exchanging the black for pink and green tones helped to convey the mood of the piece in better way. My goal for this poster was for it to feel feminine, soft, fun, and welcoming. For this reason, I chose a more pastel color palette and added light marble and leaf textures to the background to soften the piece as a whole.
