Sobre Vozes do Rio
É um projeto sobre a história ambiental entre Governador Valadares e o rio Doce. Uma história rica em diversidades de relações (surfe, canoagem, banhos, lavoura, diferentes pescas), onde os ribeirinhos se aproximam do rio Doce. E também uma história do protagonismo do rio, que nas enchentes entram pelas ruas e pelas casas. Esta complexidade de relações foi comprometida pelo descaso do esgoto urbano, e, principalmente, pela lama da Samarco/Vale/BHP. A ideia é realizar uma história pública, onde os próprios ribeirinhos participam da realização destas histórias.

About Vozes do Rio
It is a project about the environmental history between Governador Valadares and the Doce river. A history rich in the diversity of relationships (surfing, canoeing, bathing, farming, different types of fishing), where the riverside people approach the Doce river. And also a story of the protagonism of the river, which in the floods is intertwined through the streets and houses. This complexity of relationships was compromised by the neglect of urban sewage, and, mainly, by the mud from Samarco/Vale/BHP. The idea is to make a public story, where the riverside people themselves participate in the realization of these stories.

O símbolo do projeto Vozes Do Rio é uma síntese de vários elementos e relações representativas. Destaca-se o rio Doce, que atravessa o desenho do símbolo e representa seu protagonismo em diversas histórias da cidade de Governador Valadares. A bússola abstrata simboliza o mapa, oferecendo acesso a várias histórias. O olhar representa a atenção aos detalhes das histórias que se aproximam do rio Doce. Finalmente, as vozes são representadas por ondas sonoras com linhas paralelas, simbolizando diferentes histórias.

The symbol of the Vozes Do Rio project is a synthesis of various representative elements and relationships. The emphasis is on the Doce river, which runs through the symbol, representing its prominence in various stories that the river itself brings to the city of Governador Valadares. The abstract compass symbolizes the idea of a map, offering access to various stories. The gaze represents the sharp attention to the details of the stories that approach the Doce river. Finally, the voices are represented by sound waves with parallel lines, symbolizing different stories.
