The piece talks about mending retionships and mending a broken heart. Inspired by the traditional Japanese repair method known as kintsugi, where broken pieces of pottery are stuck back together. In a similar way this collage of a photograph symbolicaly mends the broken heart. Both pre-Christian and Christian religion have traditionally linked gold with a divine realm. And love might probably be the strongest bond to our creator, love under will.
