My first rodeo as a Cowboy Boots designer

My first rodeo as a Cowboy boot designer 🤠
Howdy, y'all!! My name is Ix.

I'm going to talk about my first rodeo designing cowboy boots.

Currently, I'm a Senior designer at Corral Boots, but everything started back in 2020, between COVID-19 and uncertainty.

I'd started working at a factory as a leather goods designer, but this project didn't go well so they offered me to start designing boots. I had zero experience with this kind of construction, no idea about cowboy style or lifestyle, nothing.
So, my first assignment was to propose a cowgirl boot to a big client. I started doing my research on everything I could know about cowboys, cowgirls, boots, materials, embroidery, trends, trims, lasts, processes, finishes, everything.

This was the first proposal I made. Nebula, its embroidery is inspired by the nebulae created by star explosions. 🌟
But everything ends up great.
I fell in love with the artisan process.
Fell in love with the Western lifestyle and cowgirl style.
And I'd the opportunity to work with great brands such as Bootbarn, Idyllwind, Shyanne, Jaca, and Mezcalero.
I've never imagined that I would end up loving designing, creating, and wearing this type of footwear. The incredible process behind it always excites me, seeing how stitch by stitch, the designs come to life. I love my work. 🫰🏻

And if you're interested in knowing more about the process, my work, cowboy boots, cowgirl boots, design, etc. I'll be posting more about this subject or send me a message :) I'll be happy to talk about this with you.
