I was originally inspired by the feather detailing in garments that I found throughout the small boutiques in Trastevere, Rome, whether it be in graphic prints, accessories, or as accents to make the garments more unique.  I wanted to capture that fun, yet dramatic, look that feathers give to garments by creating a collection inspired by birds for the clothing and makeup.

 

 However, I thought that it was very important to incorporate tattoos into each illustration as it shows the beauty and femininity of body art.  I designed each tattoo and thus they all have a personal meaning.  I also include the same heart bracelet into the designs, as I wear the same one that was given to me that I wear every single day.  Through those small details, the illustrations have personalities and emotions, as well as reflect a little bit of myself.
