This speculative fashion collection was designed for the Australian retro fashion Brand Kitten D’amour. It includes three garments in different colour ways, and a signature pattern – a common element in their collections. The inspiration for this collection is clothing and textiles from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Specifically, the pattern was inspired by moire silk, which was popular during this period. Moire is made by crushing silk between rollers to flatten the fibers and achieve the signature water-like pattern. The water and fan motifs anticipate vacation-wear trends of S/S 2023, while remaining true to the spirit of the brand.
