Pattern Making Exercise

We were given a flatlay picture of a blouse from our lecturer.
We started out by discussing where the dart would be shifted to, in the miniature pattern CF block.
We started by measuring the neckline from SS to SS (to drop the original measurement of neckline) - highest point of neckline.
As we discuss the next steps, we referred to our old miniature blocks that has several dart manipulations, as a recap.
After the recaps and drafting the neckline, we continued writing down the steps and calculated to see whether our theories/thoughts would work.
We started drafting from the ruffles at the armholes, with measurements and notes taken down for work progress and documentation.
Sketches and notes were taken down etc for possible references later on.
Intermediate pieces were also drafted out with further explanations.
We ended the exercise in studio by explaining the work progress of the garment to paper pattern translation.
