Some finished pieces and some from my sketchbook. I wanted to explore different techniques using oil pastels to see what effects I could create. I used oil to thin and blend colour and different black pens to create an edge. I used water to allow the pen to bleed in different directions and wanted to see how this reacted with blending pastels with oil.

in these investigations I want to use shapes from the surface of fruit that I had previously drawn. I wanted to experiment with where on the page the pattern started and finished. Starting from the corner and slowly filling the page from that starting point.
