ZOTĒME
____________________________________________________________________________________________
The new capsule collection Fragment K by Zoteme is inspired by the work of Wassily Kandinsky. ZOTĒME took as its basis the favorite element of Kandinsky's pictorial alphabet: the straight line, around which the wavy line winds. This element can be guessed in details: geometry of the forms and contrast inserts, light soaring ties and laconic decor. The palette of the art-capsule products is composed of the colors that dominate in the artist's works. Another of Kandinsky's favorite techniques, contrasting blocks, is also used.
Concept of the collection, complemented by the designer's sketches and ready-made images of the models, is also transferred into the video sequence. The richness of the source data opens up a wide range of possibilities for experimentation in the interpretation of traditional media forms into digital ones. The starting point of data generation is the images of the models translated by a special program into sound. Thus, each model gets its own sound in addition to the image. The images are also used to "draw out" the main colors, an animated "dance" of which accompanies each passage on the podium. The animation of these color spots, in turn, is tied to the generated unique "sound" of each image. The action unfolds on a rippling "canvas" of the fashion designer, a pure, borderless piece of white matter, animated in time with the music and sound. The author of the music for the show is a neural network, working on the instructions of the designer of the collection.
Thus, the elements of the physical world and traditional media are reflected in the technological world as in a mirror. This complex, multidimensional digital "cast" of the collection becomes the perfect background for its demonstration.
