I learn and help other people to learn online. Since 1999 I've been exploring the best way to utilize the www to help people to learn and teach using anything and everything.
From html to Voice Thread and beyond, and if it's free - so much the better.
Being both a learner and a teacher gives me an insight into what works, and what doesn't.
One of the new aspects of online learning (German) and teaching (English) that I'm exploring, is Second Life. Ever since they enabled voice within SL I've been exploring its potential, and I have to say, that potential is huge.
Voice Thread is an excellent way of engaging with students who aren't willing or able to use Skype or Second Life. Each student can leave their own comments in text or using a sound file, and even by doodling.
