True Solar is a solar energy company that consists primarily of installation. They provide a variety of solar and backup system services to both commercial and residential customers in the Southeastern US.
How do we represent the idea of renewal and solar energy at the same time? Starting with sketches, I started to brainstorm how to communicate the idea of the renewal of energy. and realized that an illustration of the sun wouldn't do the trick. Through this mark, we have to communicate both energy, and its renewal.

Moving from sketches, I experimented with different methods of recreating my initial ideas. Through the iterations, better and better solutions started to present themselves. Maybe illustrating the idea of being in orbit lends itself to the idea of renewal, as well as solar energy...
Final Mark

After a lot of iterations and revision, we landed on a simple, yet brilliant mark. Having the arrows indicate a path of orbit, and transforming the "O" into an anchor point for that orbit, we illustrate the renewal of solar energy.
