I have just opened an Etsy store and have been working to sell in consignment shops in Chicago.

They are all paper but are highly water resistant. I love paper as it is lightweight and versatile but have spent the last couple years dabbling in finding ways to make it more durable. These ones have a double coating of polish on them that is flexible enough not to reduce the books open-ability, but still make all water bead off of the book covers. I have been experimenting with making my books water proof using specialty tyvek paper, but the write- ability goes down.

 

I have recently started experimenting with printing text inside of the books, and will post some of those later. The challenge is getting my spacing perfect.
