Phonal AI is an innovative technology specifically designed to elevate speaking and presentation performance. It analyzes user's speech and emotions and offers recommendations to enhance their overall communication.
The design goal was to integrate the advanced AI tech of Phonal in a way that would be non-obtrusive yet highly advantageous for users. The main design focus was to create an interface that would be intuitive, interactive, and straightforward to operate.
Research
I conducted numerous customer interviews to understand user expectations, quirks, and potential roadblocks that could hinder their holistic experience with Phonal AI. The main objective was to identify the best approach for seamlessly employing Phonal AI's technology to benefit users.

Design Process
The most significant hurdle was how to deliver analysis and feedback to users in a natural way, without forcing them to use new application or software. Also I had to ensure they were conducting their presentation or conversation without disrupting the flow.

I recognized that users get value of immediate correction or adjustment tips, but we didn't want to interrupt their ongoing communication process.
The design process was highly iterative, where the insights from customer research played a pivotal role in shaping the overall design framework of Phonal AI.
A major breakthrough was the idea of creating a Chrome Extension for Google Meet. This allowed users to get live feedback during online conversations, enabling them to make adjustments in real-time.
A significant blend of intuitive design principles and user-friendly operability was employed. This strategy made it easier for users to utilize Phonal AI even if they had minimum technical know-how.
The final design of Phonal AI encapsulated a Chrome Extension that provided users with live feedback, intuitive navigation, easy-to-understand stats, and a comprehensive feedback report subsequently.
I conducted 100+ rounds of testing and user feedback sessions were conducted.
Also I used Google Analytics data to monitor use metrics and user engagement to ensure that users use it on a regular basis and get better results in terms of scoring over time.
The latter was critical to get insights not only about app-level engagement, but to measure its actual value in terms of education and training.
