Plasma Cut Sign
This sign plate was created for a project in a CNC class at my college. The goal of this class is to provide an overview of various CNC machines and their uses, with the plasma cutter being one of them. This sign was designed in Fusion 360's design environment, and the tool path for the plasma cutter was made in Fusion's manufacturing environment. The symbol in the center of the sign was taken from my favorite band, the Last Dinosaurs.
Due to some issues within the plasma cutter simulation, the middle two lines of the emblem were joined together to create one big line.
The sign was plasma cut out of sheet metal polished using an angle grinder. The legs were then joined to the sign with M5 screws and nuts.
