Concept
“THE TWISTED ROSES” was inspired by the iconic dresses of Alexander McQueen- Oyster Dress. The inspiration of the dresses is from the surface of oyster shell, the beauty behind the meaning of the dress is a bruised pearl encased in a deconstructing oyster, the tumbled survivor of the violent action of waves. As the culture of the fashion design, Alexander McQueen put in the idea to all his design, due to his past dark life when he suffered childhood sexual abuse.  “THE TWISTED ROSES”, as we know , it growing out of the dark into the light, but still carrying the scars of his past. The childhood sexual abuse affect his life and suffered from depression, anxiety disorder.
Those keywords are actually inspired by the characteristics of the fashion design by Alexander McQueen. His work is always  taking elements of traditional embroidery, filigree, and craftsmanship from countries. To explore their crafts, patterns, and materials and interpret them into fashion and expressed  in contrasting opposites.
The culture of Alexander McQueen is juxtaposition, which inspired by the life and death of human and the range of emotion and psychoses. He has apply the above keywords as the design pattern of the dresses until nowadays, which helps to create aesthetic and sweet look at the same time.
