Invitation cards
Client: Embassy of Japan in Moscow
EventCelebrating the 61st Birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan
Specification: digital printing 4+4, soft touch lamination, gold foiling
On the emperor's birthday, which is currently 23 February as Emperor Naruhito was born on that day in 1960, a public ceremony is held at the Tokyo Imperial Palace, the gates of which are open (the palace is usually closed to the public). At around 10:20 am, the emperor, accompanied by the empress, the heirs to the throne and their respective spouses, looks out on the balcony and the crowd below wishes the emperor long life by repeating the word "banzai" in chorus which means "ten thousand years" (for the Emperor). In Moscow, the celebration is held under the leadership of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan and is accompanied by a reception of high-ranking guests.
The client asked to take into account the specifics and some elegance, sophistication in the Japanese style, so that anyone who receives this postcard in their hands could instantly visually determine and understand that it symbolizes Japan. According to the color scheme, there is a wish that the base should be closer to blue (from blue to dark turquoise, golden blue and other polytonal variations of color overlays).
