Kids Teaching Platform Project
Hi fellows, let me introduce our project Afsana, it’s a teaching app for kids, the idea about it is to give a valuable content in a simple, clear & a funny way for the kids, not just about school subjects but also about life skills they will need
According to a survey we made, kids love to have character to interact with and play. As it’s shown, and they spend more than 4 hrs daily on devices mostly at watching entertainment videos and play video games, also we found that moms are the most who trying to give their kids useful time on the internet. So we made our persona Manar a busy mother that asks for an app that develop her kid and she can be sure that they’re having fun learning time.
So on this information we built Afsana which provides makes the learning journey more fun and entertaining for kids using the most beloved things they like to do, watch videos & play video games in a simple & clear minimalistic design
Here comes the style guide, we made based on color physiology to attract the kids' focus, we used 2 gradients & 1 Matt colors and Acumen Variable Concept font for clarity.
The name Afsana which means imagination in Kurdish and the logo that is an A shaped like a planet
In the fire frames, we can see the layout of the elements to give easier user experience
First the kids met our main character Afsana our lazy friend, Afsana is a bit lazy, but he gets excited for learning so the more the kid learn and do quests the more Afsana interacts and plays with the kid
After that, the registration page which is a normal registration
When the kid register on the app he/she takes a test to measure their level in general, then, we came give them quests that fits their knowledge, about the quests (tasks) kids will get about 4-5 quests every day that will be rich in content from different categories, by doing quests kids can gain knowledge, earn trophies & coins that’s used to develop their character in the app.
And here’s the character page as you see each kid gets a character that represent him/her in the app and public events, that he/she can edit & develop
In the account page there will be all the information of the kid and his/her trophies
The public page will be updated weekly and monthly with different events from around the world that kids can play and learn together in, like Ramadan when we make an event for kids to learn Quran or the Arabic language national day when kids learn to read, write in Arabic & know about this language history to earn more trophies with friends
