3d Modeling & texturing

Buildings and props I did while working for WoW Studio that were used in a series of short documentaries focusing on the construction techniques and architecture of Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

The shorts were commisioned by Construir TV and aired locally on said channel. You can watch Part I (starts at around 1:30) and Part II on vimeo.
Florence Cathedral

I did the modeling and texturing of the bell tower (Giotto's Campanile).
Siena Cathedral

I modeled and textured the bell tower, the windows at the side of the cathedral and the lateral columns at both sides of the façade.
The columns I modeled and the bell tower in the back.
Piazza del Campo

I modeled and textured Siena's central square (Piazza del Campo), as well as the whole Palazzo Pubblico (City Hall) and its bell tower (the Torre del Mangia).
Creating that brick pavement texture (and getting it to tile properly) was particularly challenging.
Behind the scenes

As I couldn't keep the actual 3d models (they belong to the studio I was working for), I can't show you much more than screen caps. These are the only models of which I managed to take a few pictures.
Palazzo Vecchio

I did all the texturing for the Palazzo, modeled part of the main building (there was an unfinished previous version) and modeled the whole bell tower from scratch.
Props and other models

I modeled the greek columns, the greek couches/beds (klines) and their roman counterparts (plus pillows and mattresses), the armor and weapons used by the gladiators and the roman legionaries (of which I couldn't get a decent screen cap, but if you watch the videos you'll see them), and also some other minor stuff like wood tables and street stalls.
I really wish I could get you a better view of those couches and lamps. They ended up looking pretty nice.
I also modeled and textured the roman apartment buldings (insulae) like the ones in the picture.
