In my Objects & Spaces class, our first project was to design a snowboard graphic. My professor arranged a tour of the Burton snowboard manufacturing facility in Burlington, VT, so we all decided to design it as a Burton board.

I looked through a lot of different snowboards for inspiration, and I wanted to design something that felt sort of "high end" for a snowboard. All of my references had a fresh, grungy, extreme feel to them and I wanted to break away from that. I ended up using very little illustration and focused on typography in the end. I originally experimented with a lot of different color schemes, but settled on black and white.
